Halloween!

We took the boys to their grandma Linda's house in St. Paul to go trick or treating tonight. Xander is now an expert at ringing door bells, knocking, waiting patiently for people to come hand out candy. He says "Trick or Treat, Mauw, Mauw!" Very cute. Nate just said what giraffe's say... nothing! He came along for the ride for a while and then I hobbled back to grandma's house with him and got out of the wind. After eating a quick dinner, we all enjoyed a piece of Xander's wonderful Halloween cake. Yum!

Long story short: I fell down our outside steps and chipped a bone in my foot. I was carrying Nate, but not a scratch on him. I was not so lucky. It hurt like hell! I will heal. End of story.

The boys carved their pumpkins and I helped Xander as he baked a special Halloween cake with sprinkles! Only a couple more days to go!

Great grandpa arranged for Chris and Xander to go out on the combine again this year. Of course they had a great time and Xander keeps talking about it.

We took the boys to Grand Avenue in St. Paul for Boo Bash. Trick or treating down the avenue with all the other little ones. Great fun, until the massive tantrum!

Halloween Party

We went to a playgroup Halloween party at Michelle and Calvin's house in Farmington. I stayed inside with Nate a lot and so didn't get many photos, but we had a lot of fun. The husbands were all with as well and there was good food, tractor ride and playing with chickens. It was the best party! I hope to have more photos to post soon.

I had started feeding Nathan some solid foods - he had tried bananas, pears, apple sauce and a little oatmeal. So far he wasn't over excited about it but would eat a teaspoon or so. Unfortunately, his system didn't seem to like the food and he got a bit...backed up. After a few days, I offered him some prunes in order to get things moving.
