We switched Nate over to cloth diapers a while back and it is going great. I don't know why we didn't do it a long time ago! It is so easy these days and there are lots of different types and styles to choose from. My favorite part of it all is that I rarely have to put a disposable diaper into the garbage can anymore. It is so hard to believe that the diapers that I used on Nate and Xander will be sitting in a landfill, probably long after their great, great grandchildren are gone. How sad is that?!? Time for a change!

Two peas
As soon as it got warm enough to start opening the door, these two boys spend a lot of time looking outside. Sometimes they are in diapers/underwear, sometimes naked. In this case, they are close to matching outfits. So cute!

The first ice cream of the season!!
It was beautiful outside today and we took full advantage of it. Hot dogs and DQ ice cream treats to kick off the season. The boys played in the yard and "helped" with jobs we were trying to get done - cleaning out cars, garage, flower beds, etc. It was such a nice day and we are looking forward to many more!

Trip to Mankato
After morning swim lessons and grabbing some lunch, we drove down to Mankato to see my niece (the boys' cousin) Em be confirmed at their Catholic church. I knew it would not be easy for a one and three year old to sit through, so we brought lots of little toys and books. Thankfully, their cousin Annie and her friend Lindsey were there to help keep them busy. But even they could only keep them entertained for so long. We had to get them outside to run around after a while. It ran long and unfortunately we had to leave early, without getting to say goodbye. But with no dinner and a long drive home, we had pushed them past their limit!

Farmstead Park
We are SO ready for the warm weather! The first chance to head to the park, we went for it. It was Nate's first experience with sand and he did pretty well. Not too much ended up in his mouth. Xander would spend all day digging and climbing if he could!

Nate's 1 year check up
Nate went in for his 12 month doctor appointment today. He got a couple of pokes and the usual prodding, which he was less than thrilled about. Our little guy is quite the skinny-minny! He hardly gained any weight between his 9 month check up and this one. All that speed crawling and then walking early really burned off the calories I guess!
