We switched Nate over to cloth diapers a while back and it is going great. I don't know why we didn't do it a long time ago! It is so easy these days and there are lots of different types and styles to choose from. My favorite part of it all is that I rarely have to put a disposable diaper into the garbage can anymore. It is so hard to believe that the diapers that I used on Nate and Xander will be sitting in a landfill, probably long after their great, great grandchildren are gone. How sad is that?!? Time for a change!

Hi
We have decided to go green in our home. I would like to know what kind of eco-friendly diapers did you buy for your son. We have a 2 months old and we are looking to switch to eco-friendly diapers.
Thanks
Sue (Westchester, NY)
Hello! Sorry, I am super behind on the blog and am just now seeing your question.
We mostly use Bum Genius diapers - a couple of AIOs but mostly the One Size ones that we stuff with their inserts or prefold cloth diapers. We also have a couple of Blue Penguin diapers that are AIOs. I bought a Happy Heiny that I use but am not at all thrilled with. I like to use prefolds without diaper pins by using good diaper covers for when we are around the house and save the Bum Genius for on the go and for overnight with doublers--have never had a leak. I probably have spent about $175 on diapers and won't have to buy many more for at least a year, unless I wear them out from washing. I need it to not be difficult, which most people think cloth diapers are, but it has been the easiest of transitions for our family. I bought a box of disposables for emergencies about 4 months ago and they are just sitting there, not being used. This is much easier IMO. For info, I like www.cottonbabies.com --the woman that created Bum Genius runs the site but sells other top brands as well. Anymore questions, let me know!
