We went to Urban Animal in Uptown to meet a little dog named Sam. His foster mom was bring him there for an adoption event they were having. Good thing we already had submitted and adoption application and spoken to the rescue people...there were tons of people all there, scoping out Sam! He is a Havanese, rescued from a puppy mill. He looks a bit ragged, but is as sweet as can be. We were surprised to hear the phone ring when we got home and the rescue owner had Sam with her and wanted to come over and do the home inspection. We figured it would be days before we knew anything, but a few hours after meeting him, he was running around our yard, in his new home!
