We spent a wonderful day with grandpa Jimmy! We went out fishing in his boat in the morning, then to the zoo to feed the giraffe and look around outside and ended the day with dinner at Red Robin. The boys (and us!) were exhausted when the day was done!
Nathan wasn't sure what to think about the idea of being on a boat for the first time
Xander is ready to go (and thinks he is an old pro, this being his 4th time out)
Nathan was clinging to me tightly when the boat was moving slowly and actually did better when it was going fast. Go figure.
Funky bait the kids are using these days. Back in the day, we used worms! What is up with the weird stuff they have now - neon colored stuff that looked like play-doh?
within seconds, Nate is reeling in his first fish!
Giving it his "what smells?" look and not really interested in touching it.
Xander and Chris having fun, but no luck catching anything. But they fed the fish their bait!
I think I am seeing some resemblence here...
Nathan LOVED feeding the giraffe the crackers! Now when he sees a giraffe of any kind, he gets excited and starts going on about feeding them crackers. Very cute!
Xander enjoyed it but is a bit more reserved and so two times was enough for him
